Hopele Privacy Policy

Hopele is a local logbook and insight tool. We do not operate a user account or a cloud backend for your records.

Data stored on your device

Logbook definitions, daily entries, drafts, media files, insight snapshots, and insight pack balances.
Permission flags for App Tracking Transparency and notifications.
Optional display name and avatar image if you edit them in Settings.
Reminder display preference, which only changes whether a stored clock time appears in Records.

Permissions

App Tracking Transparency: requested on first Home. Hopele does not read IDFA, does not run ads, and does not track you.
Notifications: requested on first Home after ATT. Hopele does not send local or remote notifications.
Camera, Photo Library, Microphone, and Speech Recognition are requested only when you take a picture, choose a photo, record a voice memo, or transcribe audio.

Media

Photos and voice memos are copied into Hopele private storage. Originals in Photos are not rewritten. Cancelled or failed captures are discarded.

Purchases

Insight packs are Apple In-App Purchases. Apple processes payment. Hopele stores verified transaction IDs on this device so the same transaction is not granted twice. TOTAL PURCHASED is lifetime spend on this install. SAVES REMAINING is the local snapshot balance.

Sharing

Hopele does not sell personal data. Snapshots are not published and are not written to Photos.

Erase

Erase All App Data removes local records, media, snapshots, remaining packs, and local flags.
